New Shoes

This little girl has more pairs of shoes than her mommy and daddy combined! Her feet are still too tiny to wear them (and who can resist little baby feet?), but we tried these on anyways and got a good laugh as Haven tried rubbing them off. Doesn't she look like a little duck?

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!!

We had a great long weekend with perfect weather! Jon played with friends from church on a float in the town parade and were quite the hit. Haven slept through most of the parade until a few veterans fired their weapons in salute. It was a great day finished off with a little sunburn and the first watermelon of the year!

Two Months Old

Where does the time go? Our little one is growing and changing by the day. Here are some pictures I took today to capture this stage before it's gone. I wish there was an audio track of our 'photo shoot'-- Haven loves to laugh and explore her voice range. She loves to squeal in a super high pitch and scare the dog from the room! This month has also brought a new fascination with brushing our teeth (not hers mind you, she doesn't have any yet-- just watching Jon and I). She's always loved hanging out on her changing pad in the bathroom, but recently she's glued to us as we brush our teeth! Go figure. She seems to be dreaming more in her sleep with great facial expressions and smiles. She loves to be on your shoulder and check out everything going on around you like watering plants outside and folding clothes (which isn't easy single-handed I might add). I can't believe our little baby is two months old, and yet it feels like we've had her forever too (I feel like I post this all the time-- it's so true though). We're smitten. :)

Happy Mother's Day!

A year ago, I would have laughed had someone told me there would come a day-- a Mother's Day mind you-- where I would find such sheer joy in watching my husband try to juggle a baby while loading the dishwasher and sweeping the floor (the later two are 'not fun' tasks Jon volunteered to accomplish while I laid on the couch in celebration of mom's day)! My, how things quickly change! :) I'm constantly in awe of God's blessings in the form of a child. In the past few weeks, since Haven's arrival, realizing how blessed I have been for the past twenty six years in the form of a mother. It's so cliche, but I had no idea the selflessness of my mom, until put in a mothering role myself; and I'm certain my gratefulness for all she's done and been for me will only increase as Haven grows up and our family grows larger. Happy Mother's Day Momma (aka- Oma) I'm so thankful for your love and leadership. I'm glad Haven falls under the same wing. I love you, Jen

SHEEP!

This Guy was a total pro-- he had a sheep done after five minutes flat.
Tracey feeding all the mommies-to-be.
Jon and Tracey and the horse.
A peek at Have sleeping through the whole day. Yeah, we're not getting any rest tonight.
Our little farm family!

Here are pics of us with friends at a Sheep Shearing Festival (yes, you read correctly-- there's a festival for everything in NJ). The weather was FREEZING! Poor Haven slept through the whole thing and didn't see even one little lamb.

On a Roll

Seven weeks today! I was trying to get a few pictures of Haven in this outfit for one of Jon's coworkers, but Haven kept rolling out of the shot.
